Kyndley Cottage is a small thatched house inspired by the lonely windswept house in the Railway Series, the books by the Reverend W. Awdry, which would later be adapted into Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.

Available (unpainted) in the following scales:
T Gauge (1:450), Z Gauge (1:220), US N Gauge (1:160), N Gauge (1:148), TT Scale (1:120), British TT3 (1:101.6), HO Gauge (1:87), OO Gauge (1:76), 1:72 Scale (1:72), S Scale (1:64), 28mm (1:56), US O Gauge (1:48) and O Gauge (1:43.5)
We no longer offer hand painted buildings as standard. However, in quieter periods limited painting slots may be made available. Please see this listing for more details.
Please note, the example photos are of the N (1:148) and OO (1:76 scale) models and the level of detail may vary in smaller scales. The details shown in the diorama, including the red dressing gown shown in the window are not included.
Due to printing capabilities, smaller models may not have the same intricate details as the larger models. The cottage includes a 2mm (in 1:76 scale) foundation to aid bedding into the landscape. Scales above 1:64 may be printed in two sections. The lower section of the cottage has a rougher texture, to indicate rising damp.
